Hersi Ali Hassan acts as Mogadishu’s relay in Hargeisa The former Minister of the Presidency, Hersi Ali Hassan, and the head of Dahabshiil,Abdirahman Ali Abdi, are currently working in Hargeisa with the businessman Farah Giindhe from the same clan, Hawiye/Haber Guedir as the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, to select candidates to take up seats in the Somalian parliament. The Somaliland government rejects any involvement in the process, because the integration of Somaliland parliamentarians into the Somalian National Assembly would call into question the Somaliland demands for the status of an independent State. In approaching Mogadishu, Hersi Ali Hassan also wants to avoid any legal action that the president-elect Musa Bihi Abdi could take against him in the future. Hersi Ali Hassan had led an attempted institutional coup against President Ahmed Mohamed Mahamoud, known as Silanyo.
